We recommend you lubricate your treadmill belt every 40 hours of use or every 3-months, whichever comes first. For other brands, check your owner's manual to see if your treadmill uses a non-petroleum based lubricant.
How to Lubricate Your Treadmill Belt:
1. Remove the motor hood (which can be done by loosening four screws- note that the screws only need to be loosened and not fully removed.) DO NOT REMOVE THE MOTOR COVER UNLESS THE POWER SWITCH IS TURNED OFF AND THE POWER CORD IS UNPLUGGED.
2. Slide your hand down the underside of the belt towards the center, then lift the belt away from the deck.
3. Aim the nozzle of the spray bottle towards the center and apply about a dozen sprays to each side.
4. Once the applications have been completed, replace the motor hood, plug the power cord in, power on the treadmill and walk for a few minutes to allow the lubricant to coat the deck and belt. Before tightening the screws on the motor hood, do a visual check to make sure that the deck looks well lubricated. If not, go ahead and apply a few more sprays to each side.
