SP1000 stretch partner video for balanced flexibility and an increased range of motion.Balanced Flexibility and Increased Range of Motion

This system was designed to provide the user with a deeper and fuller stretch, allowing the user to get an additional 8” to 15” of stretching movement. The Stretch Partner also supports balanced flexibility. Being flexible in particular areas or joints does not mean that all areas are flexible. Often people are more flexible in one joint than the other. The Stretch Partner provides consistent positioning allowing the user to focus on specific joints, or areas of the body to obtain balanced flexibility and range of motion.

My husband and I use our stretching machine every day. Our flexibility has improved and we love the machine. Although you can do any of these stretches on the floor with a partner, we never did. I highly recommend this machine. It is a great end to our busy days. (Posted on 10/25/12)

I use the device EVERYDAY. I am confident that it has been excellent for me, especially in the back, hip, and glutes stretches, all of which suffer in varying degrees when I ride. (Posted on 10/25/12)

Why Stretch?

Many factors impact flexibility. Lifestyle, age, gender and individual physical characteristics such as bone structure and muscle mass all affect our level of flexibility.

Regardless of these factors, stretching can have significant benefits to quality of life, including flexibility, balance, posture, back pain, and human performance.

The Basics of Stretching

Strength Training, Cardiovascular Exercise and Stretching are all key components to a comprehensive exercise program.

The two basic types of stretching are assisted and unassisted stretching.

•  Assisted Stretching uses outside assistance such as body weight, a strap, leverage or gravity as an aid to improve the stretch. This is the most common form of stretching.

• Unassisted Stretching stretches one muscle by actively contracting another muscle. Unassisted stretching requires more effort, but can be very helpful for improving movement in everyday life and sports performance because it develops strength while building flexibility.

Both types of stretching can be used statically, where the stretch is held for a short period or dynamically, where the stretch is done in motion and repeated multiple times. To get the most out of stretching there needs to be a balance between assisted and unassisted stretches.

For those over 40 it’s important to know that subtle changes begin to occur in our muscles and joints that make them progressively stiffer, less functional and more prone to injury. While this aging process can’t be stopped, it can be slowed down by remaining fit, active and flexible.  Research shows that regular stretching can significantly improve flexibility for individuals in the second half of life and up into the eighties and nineties.

LifeSpan Fitness free UPS/USPS and curbside delivery shipping

UPS/USPS Shipments

UPS and USPS shipments will follow their standard protocols for package deliveries. It is up to the discretion of the driver whether a package is left when no one is home. If the driver feels that the package could be stolen or get damaged based on your location or weather conditions the driver will not drop the package but will leave a first attempt notice. The driver will make three attempts with notices on each attempt and then return the product to the distribution center to be held for the customer to pick up. After seven days the shipment is considered undeliverable and will be returned to the shipper.

Curbside Delivery

Delivered to the curb or driveway. The customer is responsible for moving the product from the point of delivery to the garage or room where the product will reside. The drivers are not responsible for placing the product inside the garage or home. LifeSpan will not be responsible for rain damage or stolen product if the product cannot be moved to a dry, secure location. Since most treadmills weigh over 175 lbs., if a second person is not available to help move the product to the home a better option is Threshold Delivery or the best option is Room of Choice Delivery.

Threshold Delivery — $49

Delivered to the closest dry area (porch, garage or inside the closest door of your home). Since your product is being shipped via freight carrier you will be contacted by phone to schedule a delivery time since this shipping method requires a signature.

Most products are delivered within ten days of your purchase.

Room of Choice Delivery — $99

Delivered by a freight carrier with lift gate, two delivery professionals will place your product in the room of your choice. Rooms can be up or down two flights of stairs only, additional flights will be charged an additional $15 per flight. This is our recommended service option since the assembly process is quite basic for most LifeSpan pieces of fitness equipment.

Most products are delivered within ten days of your purchase.

White Glove Service — $199

This service is a two-step process (see exempt items below) that will require two separately scheduled appointments. The complete White Glove Service includes delivery of the product to your home, placement in the room of your choice (up or down two flights of stairs), unpacking and removal of debris and the final step of assembly. The final step of product assembly requires a certified LifeSpan technician to come to your home and assemble the product that was placed in your room of choice by the delivery team.
