2Only good if you really need to save space and intend to use it for walking or jogging Review by EB

With the cost of this treadmill, I was expecting more.

The manual states that the belt comes from the factory lubricated but the lubricant might have evaporated so it needs to be applied before first use. If that is the case, with the amount paid for this treadmill, it should at least include some lubricate. The treadmill that I received, like some others who also wrote reviews, needed lubricated.

Folding the treadmill is not an easy task. There are two dials that need to be turned with levers that are raised. It is neither easy to turn the dial or lift/lower the levers. As a result, the treadmill often just stays upright. For less than the amount of money I paid for this treadmill, I could have bought a treadmill that may be less compact and not capable of folding up and sliding under my bed but is suitable for more than walking or jogging and doesn't overheat and shutdown out of the box.
Very compact and fits well within the space we have ... Review by Charles

Very compact and fits well within the space we have available. Understand that we are a couple in our mid-seventies so it will not be used for running.

It will be used to keep us "moving" in the rainy northwest.
DEFINITELY A KEEPER FOR WALKERS!!!! Review by susan

Great treadmill for walkers. Because we live in a cold and snowy climate, we were looking for a treadmill to use instead of braving the cold. We chose this one because it can easily be moved and does not become part of our furniture layout. Directions are easy to follow and the workout is as easy or difficult as you would like.
A good treadmill except for one weak point. Review by J Tant

The actual operation of this treadmill is great - it's made well enough to stand up to a fairly vigorous pace. The displays are clear and easy to read, and the operation of the entire thing is pretty intuitive. And I have to say, when folded this thing moves around very easily, thanks to two wheels integrated into the design. It's also light enough to be able to move it around without too much effort. This last part is greatly appreciated since after a workout you may not be in the mood to wrestle a heavy treadmill around. It folds nicely down, so it will fit under a bed or tilted against a wall.

My major complaint with this treadmill is the folding operation, or specifically *how* you get it to fold. To fold/unfold, there are two clips where the upright portion meets the base. The clips are locked or unlocked by a metal tab. The thing is, these tabs aren't made of very strong metal and they can bend or break. If broken, then you're kind of stuck. So treat this part with care, because it's a definite weak point.

So as a treadmill, this thing is great. As a folding treadmill, handle with care.
JUST OK Review by JHB

We needed something compact that could fold, and due to no other choices we opted for this one. It is not bad, was easy to assemble, although super heavy to move up stairs. Works fine so far, my big complaint is no cup holder for water and no shelve for a tablet, which makes it super dated..there is a magazine slot which is pretty much useless. Also, no side arms which is hazardous IMO. Works OK, wobbles a bit..could have gotten a much nicer model for hundreds less but it was not compact so we almost were forced to choose this one..If you have a small space it is
not bad, but quite expensive.

It was very convenient to receive the treadmill already assembled. It seems to be a good product, user friendly and easy to store. I would recommend it for someone needing a compact unit with limited space.

Perfect , great buy for me, I use the higher incline and slower speed (I am in my 70's 5'1). When the Treadmill came I though OMG how am I going to put it together. It was as easy as 1,2,3.... Also note it is Very Heavy not that easy for somebody like me to just put it away and take it out every day, so I prefer to leave it out and use it almost everyday several times a day .......I love it, happy with my purchase.

This treadmill is meeting all my expectations. Has all the perks I wanted, just like the commercial one I used at exercise gym. Very happy with it, using at least five times a week.
portable and great for walking Review by Marilee Hollister

This treadmill is portable, folds up easily (although heavy) My only complaint is the rubber smell that started after a month or so of using it 3-4 times a week for 20-30 minutes. We bought the lubricant and used it several times but still get that smell after about 15 minutes. It is good for walking/power walking but not jogging/running. Speakers are tinty and noisy when hooked up to my MP3 so I don't use that feature. It is very simple to use and set up! It is perfect for limited space or when you need to put it away. I stand mine up vertically in a corner of my office. Price was good and fast shipping.
a good buy Review by EP

I've had this treadmill for one year now and am pleased with it overall. For the first several months I used it daily; now I've added other equipment to my home gym and use it every third day or so.

It came completely assembled (nice!). The instructions advise using belt oil before first use but none is included, so be sure to order a bottle when you order your treadmill. You'll need it anyway, as it is important to keep treadmill belts oiled to keep the motor from being overworked. Construction is solid for a machine of this class (folding/portable). After the first couple months of use I noticed the rubber on one of the rear feet had started coming apart - apparently I didn't have it fully level (uneven wooden floor) and the movement started tearing the rubber. I contacted Lifespan to purchase a replacement foot and they sent me a new one at no charge. Excellent customer service!

The control panel is easy to use. It has 6 pre-set programs, each with 3 levels of difficulty, or you can create your own custom program. Has a jack to plug in your iPod; speaker quality is not great but acceptable for what it is.

Every once in a while (4 or 5 times in the past year) the control panel goes a little wacky when it is first turned on, but each time was resolved by just turning off then on again. I've also had the "safety key" wiggle a bit out of place and that will also prevent the unit from powering on correctly (also easily fixable).

When I purchased this treadmill I thought I might fold it up for storage on a regular basis, but as it turns out I just leave it up all the time, so can't comment on the durability of that feature.

Having done research before this purchase, I will say this machine receives high ratings for its class and I feel it is a very good buy. Lifespan has given me great customer service.
