Bluetooth Integration with Computer Fitness App

The TR800-DT3 is Bluetooth-enabled to wirelessly sync your activity data to your Windows or Mac computer with our free downloadable computer app. Track steps taken, walking time, calories burned and distance traveled all on your computer screen as you walk. Once complete, sync your data with your online LifeSpan Fitness Club account to record your walking history.

Treadmill Fits Under Your Existing Standing Desk

The TR800-DT3 is designed to work with most standing desks. Simply place the console in a convenient location on your desk and plug the opposite end into the front of the treadmill and its ready to go. The TR800-DT3 gives you the flexibility to choose the desk you want or use a stand up desk you already own and turn your standing desk into a walking desk. When selecting a desk, remember that a treadmill is approximately 4.5” of additional height above the floor so make sure the maximum height will support your needs plus 4.5”.

Small, Contemporary Console

The small, contemporary design console is 12.9” L x 2” H x 3.25” W and sits on your desktop and is small, so it will not get in the way of your work. The digital LED display shows steps taken, walking time, calories burned, distance traveled and walking belt speed. The weighted console has a safety key that shuts down the treadmill when removed.

Intelli-Guard and Intelli-Step Features

The TR800-DT3 comes standard with two of LifeSpan trademarked technologies: The built-in Intelli-Guard™ automatically stops the belt if you step off during your walk for added safety and is a major development in protecting treadmill users and those around them. With the Intelli-Guard™, you no longer have to worry about leaving your treadmill running if you have to step off to take a call. When your foot no longer continuously strikes the belt surface for 20 seconds, your treadmill will automatically pause.  Intelli-Step™ counts and records the number of steps you take and displays them on the console. More accurate than a pedometer, Intelli-Step automatically detects the impact of your foot striking the treadmill belt.

  1. One of the best things I have purchased... ever Review by S. J. Luke

I bought this hoping to get decent use out of it. I end up using hours a day, every day. I have lost weight because I basically walk whenever I am in front of the computer - from 2 to 8 hours a day!

The speed is perfect. It goes down to 0.5mph, which is pretty slow, too slow for me to actually walk without thinking about each step. I ramped it up to 1.5 mph when I first started out and after about a month I upped it to 2mph. This is a comfortable speed for typing, reading, and mousing (at least for me). When I watch videos or am on a teleconference I usually up it to 2.5mph - which interestingly (to me anyway) helps me keep engaged in the meeting, and prevents me from losing focus on other tasks. I occasionally reduce to 1mph if I am on a call I will be participating in because I suspect the noise would be distracting at higher speeds.

Noise: At lower speeds (< 1.5mph) the sound is low and melds into the white noise of other things I have in the office. Above that it gets a bit louder - as do pounding of the steps you take as they become more deliberate.

Bluetooth: There is a bluetooth connection which lets you connect the treadmill to a computer to count steps and distance. This is a good idea, but is very poorly executed. The application is ugly, freezes, and loses the steps, and requires a subscription to a website to track over time. A smart phone with a pedometer app does just as well at counting and an infinitely better job at tracking. The bluetooth is NOT worth it, go for the other model without the bluetooth.

  2. Extra 5-10 miles a day... Review by Pamela

I love this for a treadmill desk set-up. I am on the phone and at the computer writing sometimes up to 15 hours a day, so having the treadmill under my desk is a godsend. It is quiet enough that nobody notices background noise while I'm on the phone. If I set it to 1.5 mph, I can write while walking without a problem. Most days I end up walking an extra 5 to 10 miles while working, all without thinking about it very much. It's easy to set up and has rollers in the front so you can move it around without too much effort. Instead of purchasing a separate treadmill desk, I built a 12" riser to put on top of one side of my existing desk and it works perfectly.

  3. A product advertised for working at your desk, but only if 3 hours a day Review by Computer Geek

This product is built to be put under a desk and walked on while you work.

But with this model, you better only be at your desk three hours a day, or your warranty is void.

It really defeats the purpose, and that could be three hours at max speed or three hours at normal walking speed.

Other than that, the shipment was professionally handled and delivered to my second floor office. Noise wise when my heavy butt is walking on it, there is a hissing from the belt friction against the deck, but otherwise it is silent. No motor noise, no noise other than my clomping along as I walk.

I have been unable to get the bluetooth stuff to work with my Mac, so take that for what you will. I did discover that a Fitbit One will not register your steps if you're wearing it unless you get up to at least 1.4 MPH.

I've been using it for a week now, and on the 7th day it started making a horribly loud groaning noise. No matter what speed, and if I'm on it, it gets much worse. When you start it and brin git to the speed you want it sounds like a hurricane siren is being wound up by hand. No matter what I've tried to do, it only gets worse. I contacted support, and based on my mechanical ineptitude and their lack of questions they had me adjust the back roller. While doing that, I figured out the noise was coming from the front, not the back. That hump at the front that covers the motor had been bonked by my foot a few times while walking in place. Apparently, that was enough to dislodge it so that it pressed down onto something spinning inside and that was making the noise.

I pried it up some, and it stopped rubbing. There is no adjustment here so I wedged something there to make it stop rubbing so it would keep working. So far, so good.

But my adjustments to the belt at their recommendation now means the entire thing is out of whack. So now almost daily after no more than a mile or two the belt starts sliding to the left until it bubbles up. I then spend 30m futzing around with it to get it back in place, and no matter what I've tried so far it still wanders over. So I get to screw with this for a while.

I dunno, but for $799 I expect a bit better. Returning it will be a massive pain, and so is messing with it. So I guess I'll stick with it because I can't find anything else to replace it at the moment.

  4. Does the job as a desk treadmill Review by Roz D.

I've now had this a week and I've been using it daily, mostly at 1.2 miles an hour, typing, working, and on conference calls. It's very good for its purpose. It's smooth, quiet, and compact. It's also good because now it's set up with a desk, I stand even when the treadmill isn't running so get further benefit from that too. The quietness is a big plus; you can be on the phone or watch TV with no interference.
    Some things I wasn't expecting:
    - The motor is small and has a "shelf life" so the manufacturer states 3 hours' use a day maximum to get a couple of years' use out of it. I'm hoping this is on average as I travel quite a bit, so it will have many idle days and then days when I'm on it a lot.
    - You need 100 percent silicone spray for lubrication under the belt every 50 hours, starting with your first use. It's not expensive, but I had to run to the hardware store to pick some up when it arrived, as none comes with it. It's not as easy to pull the belt up as it looks in the manual; I had to lever it up with a screwdriver to spray beneath it.

Also, we built a treadmill desk from a 2'x3' feet piece of plywood, some 2"x2" for the legs, and some 1/2 inch by 2' lengths of wood as bracing strips. The desk is 46 inches high (a height that I assessed for me, 5'5", on the treadmill). It's not beautiful, but it's sturdy, big enough for my laptop, phones, coffee, and the treadmill remote. And it only cost $42 for the materials (wood, plywood, hardware).

Finally, other reviews are correct--the distance, calories, and number of steps counted are all completely wrong. But the time you walk is correct and that's really all you need (if I walk 3 hours at 1.2 miles an hour, I know I've walked 3.6 miles, even if the device tells me it's 7 miles, for example). This is not the treadmill to get if you're incorporating walk-working into a true fitness schedule. But for something to keep you on your feet and moving when otherwise you'd be sitting, it does the job very well.

  5. VERY NICE Review by Dawn

I am very pleased that this treadmill is so quiet! so important, I hate the loud treadmills at the gym. I also love that i can pause this treadmill for hours without it shutting off automatically. It helps me keep tract of my miles and calories and distance at the end of the day from working. I'm behind the computer for hours and walking while i work has done wonders for my back problems. Be sure to have good walking shoes. I had to replace mine and what a difference that made.

  6. Getting my Exercise while I work Review by Stephen B.

I have had no issues. Works as advertised. You can set it slow or faster. I find that 1.2 mph works best for me.

  7. walk and work Review by Bill N.

As advertised. We built our own station for my computer work.... Even when I do not have it on... I am standing at my computer rather than sitting. Much healthier. No problems using it. worked into my work situation seamlessly.

  8. Walking & Writing Review by Shar M.

I'm in the middle of writing another book and found myself sitting long hours at the computer. This treadmill saved me. Now I am walking, often for two hours a day, and still getting the writing done. It is a life saver.

Works beautifully. I've had it over a month and use it every day.

  9. perfect fit Review by Jadams

I got this treadmill to go with my stand up desk that I have been using for about a year. I figured that if I could make the move from sitting to a standing desk then going on to a treadmill wouldnt be that big of a leap. I am using an Uplift desk and the tr800 fits under it perfectly.
The console was surprisingly heavy and stays put on the desk better than I thought it would, also the treadmill does not touch the desk at all so no vibrations from me walking are transferred up to the desk. I was concerned that the movement of walking would really mess up my workflow, which it did but just for a few days. I quickly got used to typing while walking at a slow pace and now that I have been using the treadmill for over a month and I am now typing just as well as before. The treadmill is also very quiet, another good surprise.
I had to raise my desk to the max height to accommodate for the thickness of the treadmill though. I am 5'10 so if you are taller, you had better check how high your desk will go to make sure this will work. Plan on the treadmill taking up about 5 inches.
Overall, I am liking this and recommend it, especially if you are already used to a standing desk, it's an easy move.

Available Options:

Standard Delivery

UPS/USPS Shipments: UPS and USPS shipments will follow their standard protocols for package deliveries. It is up to the discretion of the driver whether a package is left when no one is home. If the driver feels that the package could be stolen or get damaged based on your location or weather conditions the driver will not drop the package but will leave a first attempt notice. The driver will make three attempts with notices on each attempt and then return the product to the distribution center to be held for the customer to pick up. After seven days the shipment is considered undeliverable and will be returned to the shipper.

Curbside Delivery: Delivered to the curb or driveway. The customer is responsible for moving the product from the point of delivery to the garage or room where the product will reside. The drivers are not responsible for placing the product inside the garage or home. LifeSpan will not be responsible for rain damage or stolen product if the product cannot be moved to a dry, secure location. Since most equipment weighs over 175 lbs., if a second person is not available to help move the product to the home a better option is Inside Delivery or the best option is Room of Choice Delivery.

Inside Delivery - $49

Large items ship via motor freight and will be placed in the garage or the first available ground level door. This does not include room of choice or any steps. Since your product is being shipped via freight carrier you will be contacted by phone to schedule a delivery time since this shipping method requires a signature.

Room of Choice - $99

Delivered by a freight carrier with lift gate, two delivery professionals will place your product in the room of your choice. Rooms can be up/down two flights of stairs only, additional flights will be charged an additional $15 per flight. This is our recommended service option since the assembly process is quite basic for most LifeSpan pieces of equipment.

White Glove Service - $199

This is our highest quality shipping service, leaving all the work to us so you don't need to lift a finger. The complete White Glove Service includes:

  • Delivery of the product to your home
  • Placement in the room of your choice (up/down two flights of stairs)
  • Unpacking and removal of debris
  • Assembly

This service is sometimes a two-step process that may require two separately scheduled appointments.

  1. Delivery and removal of packaging
  2. Product assembly may require a certified LifeSpan technician to come to your home and assemble the product that was placed in your room of choice by the delivery team.

Depending on the product you purchase, it may take one or two separately scheduled appointments. Items that only require one-step in this process are the TR200 Treadmill and all Treadmill Desks and Bike Desks (ConfigureDesks will be a two-step process). These units will be assembled by the delivery team.
