Installing & Using
Active Trac






If you have purchased a touchscreen treadmill, TR7000i or TR8000i treadmill, treadmill desk or bike desk, or exercise bike, you will not need to purchase a Bluetooth Adapter. All these products have built-in Bluetooth.

Installing the Bluetooth adapter

To use the Bluetooth feature on either your LifeSpan treadmill or elliptical you will first need to purchase the LifeSpan Bluetooth adapter. If you haven't already ordered your adapter, you may purchase one from the website here.

Once you have your new adapter, you will need to install it into a port on the back of your equipment’s console. To view a list of all compatible models, visit this webpage.


TR2000e/TR6000i Treadmills: On a treadmill, this port is hidden behind a small door that is easily visible.

Ellipticals: On an elliptical, you must first take off the cover under the lower chin of the console. Then remove the console by unscrewing the two screws holding it to the frame. The port for the Bluetooth adapter will now be visible.

Getting Started with the Active Trac App

  1. Find the Active Trac app in one of these locations, depending on your phone:

  3. Remember that to install even this free app, you need to have an account with the iPhone App Store or Android Google Play store.





Syncing with LifeSpan’s Active Trac App

Treadmill Desks

  1. After use, press STOP to pause your equipment. Then press the Bluetooth button on the console.
  2. Launch the Active Trac app. Have the startup view (the Dashboard) visible.
  3. Hold your phone next to the console’s display.
  4. Data will automatically sync to your phone.

Exercise Equipment

  1. After use, press STOP to pause your equipment. Then press the Bluetooth button on the console.
  2. Launch the Active Trac app. Have the startup view (the Dashboard) visible.
  3. Hold your phone next to the console’s LCD display.
  4. Data will automatically sync to your phone.
  5. Note: Wait until the end of your workout to sync, as the console will reset. The data on the console needs to be reset to prevent duplicating data in the app.
