LifeSpan App Gets a Major Upgrade

Award-winning hardware with cutting-edge features and technology needs equally formidable software to match. That's why we launched LifeSpan Fit, the newly updated app will unlock the power of newer products, such as the Ampera Bike, and bring older products into the fold with features that streamline the active workstation experience, whether you work from home or from the office.

How Does It Work?

The LifeSpan Fit app connects to LifeSpan products through a Bluetooth connection — all LifeSpan products are compatible with this app. To connect the app to the LifeSpan device you're using, you first need to download the app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. You then need to create a LifeSpan Fit account or log in with your Google account. With the account sorted, you'll need to press the Bluetooth button on the device until the light begins to blink. On the app, you'll click on the "Search equipment" button to begin the search, which should only take a few seconds. Selecting the device on the app will complete the pairing process, and you can now begin using the app.

What Does It Do?

Just like the old app, LifeSpan Club, data collected by the workstation will be relayed to the app, such as:

Maximum heart rate
Calories burned
Steps walked
Distance traveled
Time spent on the workstation
Maximum speed
And more

This will allow you to track your progress in real-time or produce daily and weekly reports that will give you a high-level view of your fitness activity. For example, you can track how many miles you walked in a week or how many steps you took in a single day, which should help you get closer to your fitness goals.

But What's New? What Makes it Different?

The LifeSpan Fit app adds a few bells and whistles that unlock the power of the Ampera Bike. For example, you can adjust the resistance of the bike's pedals and change the color of the pedal's LED lights. The LifeSpan Fit app will be able to track the power generated by the Ampera Bike, which will be measured in Watts.

In addition to the benefits of the Ampera Bike, the updated app can now sync with Apple Health and Google Fit to track important fitness metrics. So, if you forget your smartwatch at home, you can still sync the data from the LifeSpan Fit app to the health app of your choice, ensuring no physical activity goes unlogged.

When and Where Can You Download It

The LifeSpan Fit app is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play, where you can download it free of charge — it doesn't cost anything to use the app.

If you previously downloaded the app, the new update should be available from either digital store, so check in to get the LifeSpan Fit app up to date.
